How was 2024 for you? Perhaps it was good in some ways, and a learning experience in others.
I hosted my first summit. I sure learnt a lot and made some good connections that gave me benefits even if I didn’t make a lot of money. I had months with bad schedules but I’ve finished off the year with new opportunities and an amazing chess trip with my son to Limpopo. He played his heart out and got some really good experiences and made friends. That counts as a win for me.
We spend a lot of time trying to change ourselves every year, when the truth is: you already have the potential and capabilities right inside you right now. And each little win from 2024 will help steer you more on your way in 2025.
Each failure is really just a stepping stone and a learning curve. But as we fail to take care of ourselves and our money, we learn something and try to do better next time.
To this end I have some free and paid resources for you, and I hope you’ll use them for your benefit!
Self Care Freebies
I’m giving away some cool things so that you can take care of yourself!
- Mom overwhelm workshop – 9 Ways to Cope
- Busy Mom Self Care Workbook
You can get both of these free resources here. The workshop is a 40 min recording and the workbook is a Canva template you can alter and sell if you want. (PLR) from Becky Beach.
During the holidays I participated in a Secret Santa gifting where we gave 12 gifts to other mom influencers. The person that gifted me was Vino, and she gave me a lot of face massagers, Vitamin E cream, a lovely book to read and many other gifts. (I totally knew it was her after the eyeliner. She has a talent for “wings”) The common theme was this: I really need to take better care of myself and acknowledge my needs. So it’s something I’m trying to stick to in the new year.

Finance Resources
I’ve been using a budget spreadsheet for many years. My husband actually made it and then I used it and changed it a lot to suit me. It has actually changed a lot over the years. But that’s the beauty of an Excel spreadsheet – you can add in and change it as you want to.
I’ll be really honest here and say that my finances have not been good ever since I moved into this house, and I’m really motivated to keep better track and improve things. The spreadsheet not only helps you sort your expenses, it also shows you your spending ration i.e. income over expenses, and also the difference between these – it will show you how much you have left.
I’ve explained the spreadsheet in the video below, but you can also go ahead and get it here.
