She received top of her class in Journalism and worked the entertainment, lifestyle, and arts & culture scene in the 3 most important media of the time – print, radio, and TV. She wrote scripts, feature stories, reviews, press releases, profiles and more. Then the online marketing phenomena opened new doors for writers and Laurel converted her old-school skills into this new virtual world. Now she writes stylish marketing content – web, social media posts and blogs – for brands online while continuing to provide publications, such as BabyYumYum.co.za, with well-written editorial pieces. She also just happens to be a fiercely loving and protective mama bear to her daughters, who are 15 and 20.

Aisha O’Reilly is a creative entrepreneur, multiple award-winning content creator, founder of The Whole Mama, wife, and mother of three children. Currently the Managing Editor of www.babyyumyum.co.za , Nikki is also a qualified and practicing Functional Wellness Coach in the corporate and private spheres.
Shanèy Maharaj is well-loved in social circles, but a gentle giant of a voice, nevertheless, always looking to unify and uplift South African women through multiple startups and initiatives. She is the founder of the award-winning blog called You Baby and I, the brains behind the award-winning startup MomSays, a Forbes Top 30 Under 30 recipient and a chapter lead for SoGal Johannesburg. Heather Step is the founder of South African Mom blogs, since 2014, a blog which aims to showcase the writings of local bloggers and promote parenting products. She also has a blogging course and wants to assist everyone to know how to start their own blog or website. Heather is also an online English teacher and has a BA degree in English and Psychology. Widowed for the past five years, she has a son, Nicholas, who is eleven, and a cat, Mittens.
