I am thrilled to announce that content creators are being recognised in the form of these awards which will reward those who produce outstanding content in up to thirty categories. These awards are for content creators (influencers) but there is also a Best Blog category which SA Mom Blogs is sponsoring with a R1000 Sorbet voucher and my blogging course.

Behind these awards is the amazing woman, Pearl Holdstock. I interviewed her for the 2024 summit and one of the reoccurring themes with her is this idea of being a responsible, or purposeful influencer.
The moment you claim the name influencer, you need to understand that it comes with a responsibility. So how you carry yourself, because there are people watching, there are people looking at you, there are people learning from you, being inspired. So, when you stay true and grounded and authentic to who you are, people gravitate towards that, and they connect with that. Pearl Holdstock
Pearl Holdstock is the founder of of Purposefully Influencing, a diverse community of South African content creators dedicated to promoting local brands on social media platforms and collaborating with NGO’s and NPO’s.
Purposefully influencing was founded 2020 June. Their philosophy is that being an influencer means being a leader, and a leader serves their community.
South Africa boasts talented and passionate content creators, and the aim is to encourage them to continue producing impactful content that inspires and motivates the next generation.
They believe that creating content on social media requires courage, and each creator deserves recognition, celebration, and awards. The awards ceremony will take place in the province of KwaZulu Natal, with nominations open nationwide. They have established 30 categories, including: – Blogger of the year – Best family content of the year – Best makeup artist on social media – Best cleaning hacks content. To name a few.

KEY EVENTS IN THE PROCESS
The Annual Purposefully Influencer Awards will commence accepting entries on 19 May 2025,
with a closing date of 19 July 2025. To participate, content creators must be nominated prior
to the closing date. Content creators may be entered into multiple categories through the
digital entry submission process. Received entries will undergo screening for compliance with
the relevant rules and to ensure correct categorisation. This vetting process aims to confirm
each entry’s eligibility, correct categorisation, and minimal risk of disqualification. During the
nomination process, no judgments are made regarding entries. The Purposefully Influencing
Committee reserves the right to recommend suitable category placement during the vetting
process. Non-compliant entries will be disqualified. Purposefully Influencing reserves the right
to select the final nominees based on the number of nominees per influencer.
The Purposefully Influencing panel of judges are responsible for whittling down each
submission per category and selecting nominees.
Following the vetting process, the nominated influencers will be announced and the public
will vote for their preferred content creators via an SMS. The votes will be calculated and
audited.
The Top 5 nominees per category will be announced at the Nominees announcement event to
be held on the 26 July 2025. Due to the number of submissions received, Purposefully
Influencing is only able to invite nominees to this event.
Voting lines open to the public at 12am on the 27 July and close at 11:59pm on the 27
November 2025.
The voting results are verified by Internal Audit and revealed at the during the awards
ceremony.
DATE OF THE AWARDS CEREMONY
The awards will take place on Saturday the 29th November 2025.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY
Entries are open to any South African content creator/influencer (regardless of age,
race, or gender) who meets the rules applicable to the relevant category or categories
and the qualification criteria outlined above. An award will be presented to the winning
content creator or group of creators.
Nominees who are unable to attend the main gala event must provide written notice to
the organisers of their inability to attend within 14 days of the main event. To produce
the awards event, Purposefully Influencing requires the following from each qualifying
content creator who is nominated as a finalist in any category: the right to use each
nominee’s photograph, name, likeness, biography, interviews, and video performances at
the awards ceremony for marketing, advertising, filming, and broadcasting purposes.
All entrants hereby waive any claim against the Sponsors and/or Purposefully Influencing
arising out of or in connection with their participation in this competition and will ensure
that nominees do the same. Purposefully Influencing shall not be liable to an entrant for
any reason whatsoever, whether in contract, delict, or otherwise. The entrant hereby fully
and effectively indemnifies Purposefully Influencing and its Sponsors, their successors,
assigns, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents, and holds them
harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, judgments, losses, damages,
costs, and expenses directly or indirectly due to any breach of these rules by the entrant.
This indemnity shall survive the completion of the Awards. By submitting a fully
completed entry for the Annual Purposefully Influencing Awards, the entrant agrees to
abide by the Rules as stated in this document. All decisions regarding the acceptance of
any entry and eligibility of entries are made by Purposefully Influencing and shall be final
and binding upon all entrants. In the event of any dispute, Purposefully Influencing’s
decision shall be binding on the entrant, and no correspondence will be entered into.
WITHDRAWAL
Purposefully Influencing reserves the right to withdraw an award from any winner who, in
Purposefully Influencing’s sole discretion, has brought the Purposefully Influencing
Awards into disrepute.
Once submitted, an entry may only be withdrawn by the entrants, and the request to
withdraw must be made in writing and received by Purposefully Influencing via email at
lifeworthmentioningtv@gmail.com prior to the closing date for entries.
