As moms we cherish those special times at the spa without our kids, but now there is a way that they can have fun at the spa too. Revive Wellness Spa has recently launched a Kid’s Spa for treatments and having parties too. Nicky and I spent an afternoon at Revive last Monday and now he is just as hooked as me. Revive also has a variety of other treatments available and at the end of this post you’ll see how you can get a free paint and file with use of the facilities. And they really are stunning facilities.

This time I did a Rasul steam and hot stone massage.
The steam room was fabulous. First I had to smear myself with exfoliating scrub, rinse that off and then put on a mask. Lie down for a bit and then rinse that off. Steam rooms are very relaxing and also invigorating.
Feeling totally clean I headed for the massage. Except this time the kid was coming with, fortified by a slice of chocolate cake.
The massage was divine. All the stress in my back, neck and shoulders melted away under expert hands.
In the background Nicky had verbal diarrhea and decided to give me a blow by blow about what was happening. The funniest was when he described the hand massage as “tornadoes are swallowing my fingers!”
After his massage, and I was still busy with mine, he proceeded to talk flat out about bananas. You don’t know how grateful I was for this. You may wonder why. The reason is I would have been a lot more stressed if he decided to talk about his favourite word “poop”. That would have been a lot more stressful than bananas!
So, it wasn’t a very romantic “couples massage” but he did make me laugh.
We then went down a level and went for a swim in the heated pool. This is something I have been missing in the winter months. I find swimming very relaxing.
All too soon it was over but I did have a peek at the Kid’s Spa while I was there.
They also have their own indoor pool area, some interesting products on sale and a milkshake bar.
I think it would be very nice to have a party there; all the kids would be suitable spoilt.
