I’ve written about the Child’s Farm products before on this blog but today I want to focus on hair care. The range is lovely and sweet smelling but it’s also really useful for skin conditions and I want to share a bit more about that today.
I first noticed that Nicky had some kind of cradle cap last year at the hairdresser. She pointed it out to me. Nicky actually had patches of skin flaking that was blocking the hair growth. He was developing bald patches because of it.
I was trying a dandruff shampoo but it smelt awful! I hated it! And so did Nicky.
So when Child’s Farm came along we started using that. And slowly the condition improved.
We also gave it a bit of a boost going to the doctor for some meds but I never could remember to put the stuff in his hair. It smelt awful too. Nicky hated that one as well.
A couple of months on I can’t find the congealed area and there are just a few flakes left. That’s a huge improvement on what it was. We’ve only been using the shampoo (blue bottle) once a week on a Sunday night. We’ve recently started using our second bottle.
Nicky really likes the scent of strawberry and mint and is convinced it is actually bubblegum, his favourite flavour. It contains argan oil which leave the scalp moisturised and doesn’t irritate any skin conditions such as eczema.
Child’s Farm also has a conditioner, although we never used it. To be honest washing hair in our house is such an ordeal that to do it twice is something I’d rather not do. So here’s an interesting solution: the 3 in 1 swim.
The 3 in 1 swim can be used as a shampoo, conditioner and body wash all in one go after a swim. It washes away the chlorine leaving skin and hair super clean and shiny. This also has a similar strawberry mint aroma.
There are also a number of hair and body wash bottles with some amazing scents. Nicky really likes the blackberry and apple one and wanted me to leave soap suds all over him just so that he could smell it some more. We also like the sweet orange one as well.
