Part of the motivation for working out is to look good while you’re doing it. It’s no good feeling like a slob with clothes that don’t give you confidence to keep moving and push yourself. Workout wear can be super expensive though. It doesn’t have to be, though. I recently walked out of Ackermans only paying R200 for these three nifty leggings.
I started exercising during Lockdown with GI Jess but recently I’ve been using the JEFF app. I have been wearing the same Boody leggings all this time but recently one of them developed a few holes and the other one had a nasty stain at the back from that time I decided to Dettol the dustbin! So basically if I wore that one I always had to have a long top to cover the stain if I took Nicky to school. And I was unwilling to replace them because they really did cost a lot. So I was really chuffed to find out how inexpensive these were.
The other thing I really like about them is the band around the waist and the comfort for the regular shaped woman. Face it, most of us have a bit of a stomach, and rather than trying to feel bad about it, let’s rather get comfortable and accept the part that brought life into this world!
I got three colours: blue, grey and black. I have a lot of blue tops (left over from that brief time I attempted to work for Palfish) so the blue one has lots of matching tops. I have a black workout top which has a built in bra overwhich I’m wearing a white long sleeve as it’s winter. For the grey one I have a grey and white top (although you can’t see the colour of the pants clearly).
Have you been to Ackermans lately and checked out how much money you can save? What do you like to buy there?
And have you entered the Ackermans BabyYumYum.co.za SA Parenting Blog Awards yet? Entries close at the end of August!
