I popped in at Ackermans over the weekend just to have a look around. This shop has long cemented its reputation as a place where you can find clothes that won’t break the bank. This is especially relevant for us moms who have to replace our children’s clothes year on year as they grow out of it. Ackermans has a wide range of both clothing and technological services too, and they have also very graciously come on board to promote us as mom bloggers in the Ackermans BabyYumYum.co.za SA Parenting Blog Awards. Ackermans have now increased their prize money to R20 000 in total! So now there are really no excuses for you not to enter!
I think one of a mother’s hugest expense is kitting their children out for school. I bumped into another school mom there who was getting white takkies. Guys, I really don’t know what these kids do to their takkies. How they can destroy them before they have even finished growing into another size is beyond me. But the facts are that you can spend a huge amount of money on these things at other stores or get these velcro takkies for just R229.95
There are some really cute character clothes too. If your kid is a minion fan he or she is going to love these.
And how about a nice warm onesie?
Something I’ve always relied on Ackermans for is baby clothes. Whenever someone was having a baby shower I would go there and get some cute baby clothes, knowing it wouldn’t be so expensive.
How warm are these baby gros?
Nicky was quite taken with some of the very cute shoes on display.
After you’re done shopping for your kids, don’t forget yourself. There are a few specials going right now for mom. I’m particularly interested in those leggings. My awesome Boody leggings which cost over R300 are starting to fall apart and I like these colours. Here I can buy two for R150! Spoil yourself with a nice dressing gown and pajamas as well.
