One way that bloggers can make money is through sponsored posts. You can do this on your blog or on social media. Today I’m going to show you two examples of where you can sign up to make money, which I have tested out myself.
The advantages of working through platforms like this is that you don’t have to personally approach the brand for work. The disadvantage is that they set the price. However, if, like me, you’re not the best at marketing, this is definitely the way to go.
The Salt
Just like salt adds flavour to food, this company is using influence to spread brand messages. They work with social media profiles.
Once you have signed up and filled in the form, try and do as many quiz’s that are of interest to you. This will open the door to campaigns. You will earn “nano credits” for answering them and referring people. You don’t get money for this but it moves you up the list when they search for profiles to do campaigns.
Once you’ve been selected for a campaign, there’s a lot of info to read through and even videos to watch. I think this was really useful information. They are pretty specific about how they want their photos taken, so you’ll submit what you have and then they will give you feedback until it meets the brief that was asked for. For instance this post had to have a very clear computer screen image – my initial photos weren’t clear enough.
Once the job is over the money gets put in your salt wallet, and you have to go and press the button to release it to your bank account.
This company seems to work with Webfluential (in terms of records of your stats) so it’s a good idea to be signed up there as well. These are both South African companies.

Intellifluence
This platform does social media and blog posts, although I’ve only done blog posts for them, and they pay pretty well, in dollars, through Paypal.
On your dashboard there are opportunities that you can choose from and decide what you want to write about. Again, you have to follow the specifications, but it’s you reviewing the product.
You can message the brand through a messaging system about your post. When it’s done, and it’s more than their minimum payout, it gets sent through to Paypal on their payout days, so you may need to wait a week or so.
You can earn badges as you go along. I’ve got three badges now.
Intellifluence will send you emails with reminders to check your dashboard, so it’s good to keep checking to see the offers.
(Disclosure: I get 25 cents for a referral)
Have you worked with these platforms? What was your experience?
