For the very first time, a virtual summit gathering both South African and international experts will take place later this month to help you become a better content creator in different digital spaces: a blogging as well as an influencing summit.
It’s the Simple Steps Blogging Summit! This is a first for South Africa! A virtual summit assembling various experts aimed at those who have been working at this for a while, along with total newbies.

Day One: Get Tech Savvy
The summit kicks off with a focus on the technical aspects of blogging.
- AI Tools for Bloggers: Ryan Robinson of RightBlogger will introduce attendees to over 60 tools designed to enhance productivity. He will also demonstrate how to convert YouTube videos into blog posts.
- Blog Maintenance: Renee Shupe, aka Geek in my Pocket, will cover the essentials of blog upkeep.
- Photography on a Budget: Award-winning cookbook author Teresa Ulyate (who was featured here) will share her secrets to capturing stunning photographs without breaking the bank.
- Boosting SEO with Keywords: Ruth Adeyemi will offer insights into leveraging keywords for SEO.
Day Two: Grow Your Social Media
The second day is dedicated to social media growth, featuring:
- Social Media Growth Strategies: Nuri Gallow will share her journey to amassing over 60k followers on Instagram and TikTok, alongside tips from her influencer course.
- Building a Community and Crafting that IG reel: Fashion blogger Helene Olivier will show us step by step her process for creating a reel and how she has created a community. (You can read her style tips here)
- Practical Platform Advice: Hayley Malan will provide actionable advice for utilising various social media platforms effectively. (An old post about her here)
- Collaborating with Brands: Jhene Nel from Webfluential / The Salt will reveal how to secure brand partnerships.
- Passion-Driven Community Building: Pearl Holdstock will discuss the importance of focusing on your particular passion for authentically connecting with people.
- Anatomy of a Viral Post: Cherise Roberts will give examples of what makes a post popular.
Day Three: Beyond Blogging
The summit concludes with a look to online enterprise beyond your blog or social media, exploring:
