How does it work?
- Download the app and sign up. You can use this link or use this promotion code: moya014 in order to take part in the competition.
- Snap any till slip to get R5 initially into your wallet.
- When you’re ready to shop, go to “offers” to book the items you want. Write them down on your shopping list. Do this the night before. You can also do it on the website. You have 48 hours to use those items. All the items you book will go into “My booked offers” or the “booked” tab on your phone.
- Go shopping at any shop that uses a digital till slip and keep your slip. You can be old school like me and take your piece of paper with that you wrote things down on or just look at your phone under “booked” to see what you booked.
- At home go to “booked” and underneath your list click “snap till slip.” Then select the merchant where you bought the groceries from. Select the items you bought and then snap your till slip. You need to snap that slip from top to bottom – so take as many pictures as you need to. Make sure the shop name, date, invoice & VAT numbers are clearly visible in your snaps. One of my slips did get rejected because of this but I snapped it again to get my money.
- Once you’re done you’ll get a screen that says “Snap Success” and then in your wallet you’ll see it under “pending.” This means someone has to check it for you before you’ll get your money (4 working days but it could be less).
- Once you’ve got R50 or more you can cash out.

Why your till slip gets rejected:
It might be frustrating to submit your till slip on Snap n Save, only to get it rejected for “multiple till slips.” This kept happening to me and I was so frustrated, I started writing things in colour on the side.
But after chatting to Tiffany from SnapnSave, I now know what the issue is and how to get around this problem. Unfortunately, they have been having scammers submitting multiple till slips with different dates. So basically, the important thing for you to do is to prove it is one till slip by making sure that the final piece of your till slip includes the total and all those end details such as loyalty card number and date and time. Then take another one of the total slip.
