I’ve been a bit slack lately protecting Nicky from the sun and mosquitos. He has started to collect a lot of freckles on his nose and cheeks. They look super cute but it’s a timely reminder to apply that sunscreen whenever we go out, and especially for what remains of the school year. Nicky also tends to react quite badly to mosquito bites and they take quite a while to go down so he needs something to protect him from the mozzies at this time of year too. Recently we were given two relevant products from Nunuki to review and I thought I would share a bit more about them so that you can protect your child from both the sun and mosquitoes too.
Nunuki has a troop of cute cartoon characters for each one of their products. So there’s Isey, the bathtime bestie for hair and body wash, Elfie, with big ears (he is a good listener) for cream, heart shaped Nunu giving calming bath and massage oil and three eyed Dex who likes to learn and his product is the bum paste.
Lello is yellow and her product is the sunscreen. She likes to play it safe and is very cautious – you’ll see her little feet turn inwards – she has knock-knees! The sunscreen has factor SPF 30 and will protect from both UVA and UVB rays.
Once you’ve done your parental day duty before they go to bed make sure they are protected against the mozzies. This is where Maxi, the bug fighting girl comes in. Maxi’s bug cream contains citronella, lemongrass, shea butter, avocado and grape seed. So it not only chases the mosquitoes away it also moisturises young skin.
The products come in two different sizes (a large 150ml and smaller travel size 50ml as well) with pump action dispensers. What’s nice about the bug cream is that the citronella isn’t so overpowering – it has a nice lemon smell to it as well.
On their website you’ll see you can buy both products together and also a travel pack as well.
The company is proudly South African so it’s good to know you’ll be supporting a local business. Furthermore their products have been dermatologically tested and approved for sensitive skin. They have also received the CANSA Seal of Recognition for the range.
This is one less thing to worry about this summer – so be prepared against the sun and mosquitoes with these helpful and very cute characters.
