Looking for a fun science activity for your kid that produces an action figure? We won a MrBeast Lab Mutator and Atomic Swarm courtesy of Prima Toys and. @an_exploring_mom Vuyo Xaba and we played around with it to see what would happen. The result? Some cute little collectable toys and a super cool Panther action figure.
MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) is an American YouTuber, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, best known for his elaborate stunts, massive giveaways, and viral challenge videos. He is the most-subscribed creator on YouTube and a major influencer in digital media and pop culture. Here is one of his products.
Of course we just ripped things open and experimented without reading the instructions.
We started with the MrBeast Lab Atomic Swarm. Here you just add water, shake vigorously and get two one inch micro beasts. We got Photon Fish (he looks like an angler fish with his light dangling in front of him) and Skidmark which is a tyre creature.
MrBeast Lab Atomic Swarm – How to Create Your Swarm
The MrBeast Lab Atomic Swarm toy involves a simple experiment to reveal miniature collectible figures. Follow these steps:
- Open the Test Tube: Remove the cap from the test tube containing the Swarm.
- Add Water: Fill the test tube with water up to the indicated line.
- Shake the Tube: Secure the cap and shake the test tube vigorously to activate the reaction.
- Reveal Your Swarm: After shaking, open the test tube to discover the Swarm figures inside.
Each Swarm belongs to a specific team, and there are numerous figures to collect.
For the Mutator we poured the liquid on the side. After that we pondered what to do next, but eventually figured out you had to press the “fingerprint scanner” on the top for the panther to be revealed. We also had to figure out how to unscrew the lid and get the panther out (lots of ties) but he was super cool once we did.

This is a fun experiment to reveal a collectible action figure. Here’s how to use it:
- Prepare the Mutation Chamber: Ensure the chamber is clean and ready for use.
- Add Mutation Liquid: Pour the provided mutation liquid into the chamber.
- Activate the Scanner: Press the fingerprint scanner button to initiate the mutation process.
- Observe the Transformation: Watch as the chamber activates, revealing your MrBeast Panther figure.
- Release Your Beast: Once the process is complete, open the chamber to retrieve your new action figure.
There are multiple Mutators to collect, including the Stealth Panther, Iconic Panther, and Metallic Panther. We got the Metallic Panther.
Nicky really enjoyed the process of experimenting with the toy and I know your kid will too. It’s all about discovery and figuring things out, which is a win for parents and science enthusiasts.
