On one of the lessons that I teach on my online ESL classes, the question is asked: “How do you research a topic?” The answer is: you can read books, you can search online, look at images or you can interview experts. In today’s ever changing blogging and content creation field, you might not find the most up to date books or the most reliable results online. The best way to learn about what is working now is to interview current successful people and learn something from what they are doing. That is the goal of the Simple Steps Blogging and Content Creation Summit 2025: to learn from expert advice and use this to improve ourselves as we put our creative content out into the world.

I’m thrilled to share these experts with you and I thought I would share with you a few things I’ve taken away with me from these amazing bloggers, content creators and influencer managers.

- We need to channel that creativity into measurable data and come up with plans, says Marion Nowak.

- Why I need to stop working so much before I burn out – with MG (Marelize Geral)
- Creating content is also a way to process a life in isolation – mental health matters so much! with Karabo Mokoena
- I’m going to need to change my website a bit and use other ways for traffic after listening to Becky Beach on how to sell digital products. I also learnt some tips on this topic from Deidre Johnson.
- Awesome insights on how to pitch brands on your own terms with Jenny Melrose.
- Not to rush but to take pride in content creation – from Darren Meltz.
- Some absolute gold nuggets from Khatiya Mwewa “Shift your goal from “going viral” to “gathering data.” If you want to go viral, you’re in the wrong industry baby. You need to pivot. Each post will teach you…. if something hasn’t done well, you need to go back to the analytics.”
There is honestly so much, I can’t fit it all on this page. You’re going to have to sign up and listen to them, first hand.
