Today we meet South African mom blogger Jenome who blogs at Chronicles of a Coloured Mom.
1) What do you normally get up to on an average day?
My average day starts when I wake up at 6 am and prepare for work. Before I leave for work I breastfeed my 2 year old. I work full time; I’m a Team leader and Receiving Controller. When I get home at night, breastfeed again, while I’m studying and preparing supper.
2) How do you feel about motherhood – what are your struggles and joys?
I love motherhood, the joys, tears and challenges; I would do it over and over again.
3) Tell us about your kid(s)
I have 4 kids after doctors told us that we will never have kids after my second born due to my battle with endometriosis and an ovarian cyst. I have a 15 year old teenage daughter, a pre-teen son, and our 2 babies who are 5 and 2 years old.
4) How did you start blogging?
I’ve always wanted to start blogging to share my journey but being an introvert I was scared and didn’t have enough confidence. Then this year I decided this is it, I’m starting my blog. I signed up and the rest as they say is history.
5) Share with us a valuable blogging tip you’ve learnt. (or more)
Consistency is key, do a lot of research on your topics that you want to write about and having patience. You won’t get recognised overnight. Network with other bloggers, reach out to them and engage with them on social media.
6) If you make money from your blog, give us a breakdown on how you do it. Give us some of your methods on how to get started on this, or any tips or advice.
I haven’t reached that stage yet, lol, I’m still a new kid on the block of blogging.

Beautiful article. I would love to be a blogger but I have no clue where to start expect writing about my life challenges. I would love to get a mentor.
