Party with Wimpy and Nickelodeon

Last week I attended an event to showcase Wimpy’s new party offering. Kids just love watching Paw Patrol, Shimmer and Shine or Blaze and these Nickelodeon characters are the perfect, familiar setting for a party theme. Children will also have fun with some cute blow up balloon animals, plus, of course, the food! We enjoyed the party and I know your kids will too.

The place settings are all done for you in your kid’s favourite theme and Nicky of course went for Paw Patrol. He has solidly worked his way through all six seasons of Paw Patrol on Showmax. (But I have to say I am so glad to say we are done with YouTube’s Ryan, I was getting so sick of that!). So I now know the drill: something happens (like a chicken gets stuck) and all the pups must go off to the rescue. With cries of “No job is too big, no pup is too small”, “Rubble on the Double!”, “Chase is on the Case!” off they go! They get there and using all their various backpacks and gadgets, they rescue the chicken or whatever the case may be. Sometimes I think one pup would have been enough instead of all the gadgets and diagrams, but hey, then we wouldn’t have all the fanfare.

So the kids just love these heroes and Nicky really enjoyed playing with his Paw Patrol toys. He attached part of the toy to his bag and let Zuma run all the way up.

The other thing he really liked was the balloon animal. Nicky generally just loves balloons and he likes these cute creations too. He had a little dog. (Which subsequently popped later amidst many tears, but hey, that’s what happens to balloons).

The food options are sure to make the kids happy: a cheese burger and a side or a toasted cheese and a side or chicken fingers and a side. The meal options can be decided on the day. There are THREE Nickelodeon themes to choose from – Paw Patrol (will be available year round) and a “boy” theme and a “girl theme”.  The gender specific themes will be rotated every couple of months – for launch you can choose Blaze or Shimmer and Shine.
