Our Gauteng readers will now how winter has made her arrival known, our rainy weekend and the chilly weather have made many of us reluctant to go out and many of us have turned to comfort food as a result of this chilly weather, like pizza and chocolate.
Monday afternoons are one of our busiest afternoons, both kids have something on and our timing has to be right. Last week Monday in between drop offs/pick ups a delivery arrives, David goes out to sign for it and asks me if I ordered pizza – anyway long story short and a five minute discussion with the delivery dude and we accept the pizza. When we opened it, it wasn’t an ordinary pizza but rather Pizza Huts Big Night In Box. My kids literally jumped up and down with sheer joy.
The box includes 2 pizzas, a chocolate pizza, a portion of chips and 2 cheesy garlic twists – all for R100!
I love the idea. Instead of just ordering pizza you can now get a whole meal for take out night or date night. Being a bigger family, we would need two though but it would still be really good value for money.
The awesome team at Pizza Hut have given us THREE vouchers to giveaway to three of our readers to get the Big Night In Box
The R100 Big Night In Box includes:
• Any 2 Personal Pan Pizzas
• A Chocolate Pizza
• Portion of Chips
• 2 Cheesy Garlic twists
It is packaged in the standard 12” box and is available for a limited time only.
To enter this competition leave a comment what your idea date night is.
This competition is open to SA residents only and will close on the 25 May 2016.

My absolute ideal date night is duvet.. watching a movie that keeps me on my toes.. like a fabulous thriller.. Pizza.. milkshake and loads of treats.. i.e. chocolate and chips.. Have 2 young kids so they can either be by the grandparents or thankfully they go to bed quite early 🙂 To me there is no better date night than this with my hubby 🙂

My ideal date night doesn’t involve getting dressed up and being taken to an amazing restaurant or even a night spa. My ideal date is a night in with my husband, 3 cats, 2 or 3 movies and a big pizza. If one of the movies happen to be PS I Love you or Leap Year… I call that the best night ever.

My ideal date night would be with my loved one at a romantic spot on the beach. This must be done at sunset, creating the most romantic setting, the time when the sky is filled with it’s “beautiful Red Colour!” I would prepare Sumptious home made dinner for us not forgetting a bottle of chilled wine in an ice bucket. I would then have our favourite flowers & candles lit spread all over the place. There must be romantic music playing in the background and after Dinner we dance & while dancing I would whisper words of love to him ! We would end the evening by a Bonfire, having a braai and relaxed with a couple of blankets & lots of pillows on the floor and feeding each other with chocolate covered strawberries & whipped cream! While bundling up under the blankets all comfy & relaxed, gazing into each others eyes & laying underneath the shining stars!

My ideal date night is staying at home under the blankets watching series and movies and eating lots of junk food. It’s perfect with the cold weather we are having. Shared on twitter my twitter handle is @b_balutto 🙂

My husband and I love watching movies. Luckily, he doesn’t mind chic flicks. Either at home or we make a date night out of it and go to Clearwater mall or Cradlestone. We’ve been married for 2 months now, and everything had been so hectic with us travelling between two cities (I’m from Bloem and him Mafikeng) prior to the wedding day. We’ve literally forgotten about date night. Ideal date night currently with the cold weather would be a reminder of our favourite pastime – movies at home and pigging out on some food, snacks and drinks. Simple things sometimes make the memories even more nicer to look back on.

We haven’t had any date nights since K, but have managed day dates 🙂 We tend to either do a movie and a meal or a meal and walk around…so that’s our ideal 😉

I don’t think I can even remember when we last had an actual date! Sometimes, I dream about date night, though. And if we had one, it would probably include an overnight babysitter and a night for 2 someplace where the linen on the bed is luxurious & white and everything I would never DARE to buy for my own house, for fear of having it ruined in 5 seconds flat. And there would be dinner in a suitably elegant setting, followed by lots of time to talk over a few glasses of wine or a couple of cocktails. And maybe a movie. If we felt like it…

Since we have two very small children (3 months and 21 months), an ideal date night for my husband and I would to be kid-free for a few hours. We would recruit Granny & Grandpa as babysitters, then take our pizza and a bottle of wine to view the flocks of swallows flying around at sunset at Mt Moreland, just outside of Durban.
Tamra Sykes says
Our favourite date night is usually a good movie at the cinema (something that’s not animated is always a treat) and lunch or dinner at Banjaara. Time away from the kids is rare and we enjoy being together!
Marcia from Organising Queen says
Well, for normal weather, out at a bookshop/ movie and then coffee/ tea with a pastry. For cold weather, indoors on the couch watching Seinfeld 🙂

I would say a bon fire, with a glass of red wine, but in winter when it’s just too cold to sit outside we cuddle on the couch watching a movie or one of our favorite shows like Blacklist, yes, with kids that is the way or date night’s roll lol.
