If you’ve often wondered about the hype of infusion drip lounges, and why many celebrities flock to them, then let me give you the inside scoop. I visited Vivere Wellness, in PE/GQ, and thought I’d share the experience with you. It was an overwhelmingly uplifting experience, not just from the infusion entering my body, but just from spending time with other moms and connecting with them.
There’s a lot of mixed press out there about drip infusions, especially when it isn’t done in a safe way. Kendal Jenner landed up in hospital from a bad reaction. But: Madonna uses the B12. Brad Pitt uses the Myers Cocktail for vitality. Adele used the energy boost to help her get through eight nights of performances. Jane Fonda uses the anti-aging ones. (Read more about celebrities and IVs here). So, it’s important to take precautions and do everything in a safe, hygienic way.
On entering this space we fill out a questionnaire. When the IV drip is actually administered, the nurse asks you further questions like, do you have any chronic conditions and do you have any allergies? I think the verbal questions are a nice backup, if you haven’t already said something on your form.
I don’t enjoy needles, and the insertion wasn’t the fun part, but after it was done and my arm was carefully placed on a cushion, it was fine. We had juice and cake carefully positioned on the side that wasn’t connected to the drip.
The drip that I had was a collagen boost (Skin Bounce Back) and I know that my skin will thank you for the lift. It also apparently includes vitamin C so that gave me an overall energy and immunity boost too. After having a cold last week it’s good to get this boost moving forward. My skin is getting older and drier so this boost is what it needed.
This drip that I had has the building blocks of collagen which promotes my body to produce its own.
There are multiple areas where collagen is useful:
- Skin: Collagen helps with skin elasticity, hydration and firmness.
- Joints: It helps maintain the integrity of cartilage, reducing joint pain and inflammation and improving mobility.
- Bone strength: It contributes to bone density and strength.
- Muscle Mass: It aids in muscle repair and growth.
- Hair and nails: it strengthens, grows and reduces brittleness.
- Gut health: it supports the lining of the gut.
- Heart health: it helps provide structure to the arteries which can improve cardiovascular health.
While I’m not expecting miracles cures in all these areas, I certainly think that it gives a supportive boost that will definitely help.
While that was going on we had a presentation from Woolworths about their lovely skincare. They also do treatments at their branches and I am going to test out their facial treatment, and I can’t wait.
We tested out some of their toners and serums and they felt lovely on the skin.
The best part of the morning was connecting with moms that I haven’t seen in a long time and meeting some new faces too.
So what do you think? Would you try it? It’s definitely given me a lift.
