From the creators of the Child’s mental health symposium comes a special workshop which will be especially suited for the South African time zone. It’s coming to you July 23-24 from 4:00pm-9:00pm (live streamed & recorded) and they are offering 30% off to help those with children who are struggling during these difficult times.
Does your child struggle with anxiety: racing thoughts, tummy or headaches, sleep issues, separation anxiety, avoidance, inattention, or overwhelm with seemingly everything?
Join Tania Johnson, Registered Psychologist, Registered Play Therapist, and Co-Founder of the Institute of Child Psychology, as you explore the research and theory in the field of mental health, education, attachment, naturopathic medicine, and interpersonal neurobiology.
Just before the previously mentioned event I interviewed Tania and you can watch that video here. She is also a South African.
It was such an honour to chat to her and find out more about her background and who she’s helped in the past. How amazing is it that she also went to Taiwan? She met someone there and that’s how she landed up in North America!
Tania has experience with foster children and cancer patients but as a psychologist and co founder of the Institute of Child Psychology she has a special interest in children and has done lectures on anxiety in children before. So let’s get some of her wisdom for ourselves!
Attendees will be given RESOURCES and DIRECT, CONCRETE TOOLS to help their child, or the children they work with, overcome this emotional obstacle.
The latest research on the neurobiology of anxiety
Concrete strategies to help manage anxiety in youth
Free gift: “Managing Parental Stress” 3 Hour E-course
Workbook & Certificate of Completion
Recorded with 30 days access post event.

Hi Heather. Thank you for sharing this. Mental health issues are not often given the bright light they so need, especially among our kids. I only recently realized that my 12yo experiences social anxiety. With my own humble background in psychology, I have tried to work with him personally, arming him with tools to overcome the sickening anxiety, but what about those parents without such a background? A workshop like this is just what parents and caregivers need.
