There are certain items in my wardrobe that I will always treasure, and among these are those of Indian material. The fabric is light and warm and flattering, and the threads of silver add a sparkle to it. I have a lovely orange skirt I once received from an Indian parent, and I always feel so glamorous when I wear it. A beautiful purple dress that feels soft against my skin.
If you love Indian garments (and anything else Indian for that matter) you will want to make a bee line for the Blu Blood Mela at the Sandton Convention Centre from 2-4 December.
The Mela forms part of a greater Bollywood/ Indian experience, with a fantastic lineup:

There is something for the whole family.

You have to feel like a princess when you are dressed in such a gorgeous and sophisticated dress. When I saw the bridal dress on Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil it took my breath away. This is such a addictive show.

With such a variety of amazing spices in rich, bold & elegant flavours and colours, one is spoilt for choice as no dish goes unnoticed. From the likes of the famous Samoosas & Biryani to the mouthwatering mithais and sweetmeats, one cannot say no to Indian cuisine. I love this!
I love Indian culture; it is rich, colourful, yet humble. I love the spices and how they can turn a boring dish into a festival on one’s pellet. And the desserts, smell of cinnamon and my whole time favourite gulab jamun and of course there is always space for chai! On the side note as a vegeterian I don’t know what to cook without Indian spices.
I also love sari, and bold colourful garments and jewellery that reflect the colourfulness and beauty of Indian women and India. I also am fond of henna art, although I am planning to colour my hair this time, what is better than a natural hair dye 😉 and don’t even get me started on Bollywood! Shah-Rukh Kahn movies all the way 😉
