There isn’t much time left to book for the Mom Blogger Meetup – happening both in Joburg and Cape Town on 28 February.
Here in Joburg we have been working hard to put together a lineup. Here is what you can look forward to. Our theme is “Healthy Living”.
1. Nicqui Grant. (Dietitian) will be talking on Lifestyle Nutrition for kids.
Nicqui has more than 16 years of experience in the field of Clinical Dietetics and nutrition. She has always had a passion for nutrition in the life cycle. As a mother she also understands the challenges working Moms are faced daily in feeding the family well. Nicqui also has vast experience in the field of nutrition and Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and Fertility. She has worked extensively with people suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, and is passionate about FODMAPs.
As a keen cook she has published a recipe book to assist with healthy eating “The Ultimate Diet Solution Cookbook” (Struik). Nicqui is a regular contributor to many magazine publications for various nutrition related topics, these publications include, Your Pregnancy, Shape and YOU amongst many others.
As an accomplished speaker, Nicqui has appeared on numerous Television Talk shows including 3Talk, Carte Blanche and Sunrise TV. She has participated in many radio talks shows and has been asked to present to both the public and professionals on various aspects of nutrition.

2. Preethi Mistri (Dietitian) will be talking on having a healthy lifestyle and making healthy choices.
As Nutrition and Wellness Manager Manager for Coca-Cola South Africa since 2011, Preethi Mistri’s forte— backed by her broad and deep experience—is in the field of health, wellness and nutrition. Core to her current role, her responsibilities include health and wellness strategic planning as well as stakeholder management and building partnerships.
Preethi holds a B.Sc (Hons, UCT) in Nutrition and Dietetics, a B.Physed (WITS) and MAP (WITS Business School). Through additional courses and internships, she has gained invaluable knowledge in the fields of general nutrition, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, food services management and food science.
3. Margy Vally (Chef) – will be sharing with us “Fun foods for kids.”
Margy qualified as a chef in the UK, prior to moving to South Africa. Since then, her professional career has revolved around food with both major multinational and local companies, including the Westin International Hotel Group. She has continued to develop her passion for food – ranging from the traditional to current trends, and is also currently responsible for Recipe Development with ‘Plum’ food magazine.
Margy looks forward to sharing this passion for food with you as the Executive Director/ Chef of Olive Branch Cooking School. Her style of simple, smart and seasonal recipes are sure to inspire you – food for every cook, every food lover, every day and every occasion.
