My Afrikaans is baie swak. I honestly don’t know how I made it through school and passed matric. But when this cute book was delivered to me I knew I had to take a look because.. it was about cats! And detectives!
My son has been battling with Afrikaans, particularly with confidence to speak it and I know I’m not really helping either. So instead of Wimpy Kid (which we have been reading for bed time for I don’t know how long) we decided to read this book for a few nights.
It’s a really cute, magical story about a cat and a little boy and how they manage to outwit some diamond thieves.
So how did it go? Well.. it was slow going having to translate for Nicky all the time, but he really got into the story and he wanted to know what happened next.
Ek het dit ook geniet!
