Finding activities, especially arts and crafts, that all of my kids can do is near impossible. So when I find something that entertains at least 3/4 of them I feel like I have won.
I received the Surpriso Art and Craft Box to try out last week but kept it until Saturday to actually try out. David was away so I figured it would buy me some time and it really did.
The box we received was Under the Sea themed so all of the activities were sea related which was so great. There were four activities in the box and all three of the younger kids were able to do something.
You receive an actual box and inside is everything (except scissors) that you need to complete all of the projects.
Project 1: Paper Bag Jelly Fish
Both Kiara and Jack enjoyed this one. It is so simple. They each painted the brown paper bag and I glued the eyes on and cut the legs out.
Project 2: Gone Fishing
This was such a hit with Jack. We tied the strong onto the pole, attached a magnet and then he caught the fish I cut out that had a paper clip attached to them. He played with this all afternoon.
Project 3: Under the Sea Door Hanger
Kiara did this one herself. It involved drawing and she loves anything that allows her to draw.
Project 4: Turtle Sun Catcher
Emma was harassing the older two so I eventually gave her the crayons and she coloured in the turtle. She loved it.
We all have the best intentions of doing arts and crafts with our kids and most of us have a box fulled with stuff somewhere in the house. What I liked about this box is that everything was in the box. I didn’t need to do any planning. It was all done for me!
Loadshedding is clearly something we are going to have to get used to and this box is a great way to pass the time over the weekends. There was enough stuff in the box for all 3 to be busy with something different at the same time, so if you have one child or even two, you will be able to spread out the activities over a few days.
You can subscribe on a monthly basis or sign up for for three months and you do have the option to order sibling boxes which is a great idea. For more information you can visit their website.
