These are the things Rolene from Momma Making Memories knows for sure about life!
There is a time in someone’s life where they long to be few years older. While many of my friends wanted to be 21, I was looking forward to my thirties… the time in your life where is everything is sorted and settled.
I arrived in my thirties a few years back and I enjoy my life.
Life didn’t work out exactly as I planned, but this is what I know about life as a thirty-something working mom.
1. Time is waiting for no one. There was a quote in our Accounting class from Macbeth: “Come what come may. Time and hour runs through the roughest day.” The future is coming… one second at a time.
2. Life is not fair. This is something I learnt at a young age. It doesn’t help to be angry about that, just continue to do the best with what you have.
3. Laughter is the best medicine. There is something very satisfying about laughing until your stomach hurts.
4. Being a mother is a privilege not given to everyone. Cherish it.
5. I enjoy being alive! Living every moment is something I strive for as life can give many unexpected turns.
6. Life is what you make of it. If you focus on the dark it starts to consume you until you can’t see the light. Being positive and seeing the good in everything helps me to enjoy life.
7. You cannot live life alone. I have a close family and very good friends. Without this support systems life would be very different.
8. Enjoy the little things… a nice cup of coffee, a good book, a stroll in the park, playing with your child…
9. Life consists of good and bad times. Bad experiences helps you to appreciate the good ones even more.
10. There is always hope. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, I believe there is always hope.
These are the 10 things I know for sure.
