1) What do you normally get up to on an average day? (Give us a brief description about yourself)
My days are rather routine; I wake up at 04:30, gym at 5 then come home and make breakfast, pack lunches etc. at work by 8 then home at 04:30 when I fetch Fysh from school, back at gym at 5 for his classes, my classes at 6 then home to make dinner and put the minion to bed then it’s illustrating till late and repeat.
2) How do you feel about motherhood – what are your struggles and joys?
I still don’t know how I feel about it really, it’s a tough job, particularly doing it alone, but there are so many positives to it like the hugs and kisses and the “I love you’s” they make all the pooped in pants and tantrums worth it.
3) Tell us about your kid(s)
Fysh is 6 going on 18 this year, he’s a gentle soul and I’m very lucky as he’s extremely loving and not subject to tantrums often, he’s understanding, loves cuddles and attention and is extremely inquisitive. He loves to learn and adores his pets.
4) How did you start blogging?
I started when I moved to Germany, it was an easy way to share photos and keep family up to date with what was happening (this was when facebook was still early days and not used much)
5) Share with us a valuable blogging tip you’ve learnt. (or more)
It doesn’t happen over night, you can’t start a blog today and expect to have thousands of followers tomorrow. Love your blog, appreciate your readers and share the love with other bloggers. No man is an island and the itchyness that is often found in the blogging world needs to end.
6) If you make money from your blog, give us a breakdown on how you do it. Give us some of your methods on how to get started on this, or any tips or advice.
I don’t make money, that’s not why I started blogging, I like to barter exchange with companies, you send me something for either myself or Fysh and we’ll write about it. I occasionally get paid to write an article here and there but they’re not often as I like to keep my blog personal. My advice would be to be honest, don’t kiss ass or beg. It will happen, but in saying that it also never hurts to ask 🙂
