{Giveaway} R500 Prominent Paint Voucher

August 24, 2016 by Laura le Roux 30 Comments

As some of you may know I work from home. We converted our dining room into a shared office for David and I. When we moved in, 6 years ago, we repainted the entire house but haven’t really painted since then. We have done some redecorating but not actual painting, so when Prominent Paint offered me a room makeover I jumped at the chance to redo the space I spend the most time in.

Initially I was keen to do something outside my comfort zone and chose some bold, bright colours but after way too much time on Pinterest I kept coming back to pinks and turquiose. I mentioned to David I would like chevrons and he was pretty keen to help with it, so the office makeover began.

Dominic from Prominent Paints in Gezina was great and very patient with me trying to figure out which colours I actually wanted.

It took us two weekends but we did it and I absolutely LOVE it. We cleared out a lot of the clutter which was actually really overdue.Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs Prominent Paints | SA Mom Blogs

It is a water-based paint and it was so easy to clean the brushes and trays and wipe off any “oopsies”.

We have been given a R500 Prominent Paint voucher to give away to ONE lucky reader. You will be able to make over a room or two in your house!! Cool hey!

To enter, please tell us what room you would make over.

T&C’s

  1. Competition ends 31 August 2016
  2. Competition is open to SA residents only
  3. Winner must be prepared to share photos of the room makeover
  4. Prize is not transferable.

definitely my home office/study as I spend quite a lot of time in it and the current blue colour is really not conducive to my productivity as it makes the room dark and dreary. I would love a more serene colour that relaxes me.

    Love those gorgeous colour chevrons!
I would like to redo my front hall. Its the first thing people see when they come in and it looks terrible! I don’t mind the rest of the walls in the house to be a blank canvas but I want my entryway to tell visitors who we are as a family. I’d like to somehow to accent the beautiful Officer’s Chest that has been in my family for over 100 years, but have no idea how to do so 🙂

What a wonderful prize!!! I would love to paint my daughter’s room. She wants Autumn leaves and flowers across her wall! Quite a daunting task, but think it would be lovely as she loves being outside in nature. Would definitely use this prize for her room.

I would love to do my little girls bedroom. Her bedroom is still in “baby” phase and she has just turned 6. She has asked to have a princess bedroom with pinks and purple. I have so many ideas to make this bedroom super mod for her… I want her to be excited when she walks into her room, a room that will light up anyone entering 🙂 and speaking of light, the way the sun shines through her windows.. I think i can really work some magic in here 🙂

Your office is so cool – and David has the patience of JOB doing those chevrons!

I would LOVE to do a feature wall in our bedroom.

We’re living in a rental but have the option of painting if we want! Seriously want to do a feature wall in our oldest girls bedroom and something in the main bedroom. Two years of neutral everything is starting to make me feel closed in! Fingers crossed!

I decided to put my home office space in the #1 spot to makeover, because it is truly my little haven in my home! It is nice to just escape to my own space. This is also the one room in my house that I could make as girly as I want!!!! Fingers crossed 😉

I would SO love this. Our bedroom is a space that just hasn’t seem to have “come together”. We’d love to do a makeover in different shades of grey. I take inspiration from some of the frames on your wall – would love to do this on a dark grey feature wall, with a soft dove grey for the rest of our room. I have a Pinterest board for my bedroom makeover dream – this voucher would just get us one big step closer.

We need to paint the study – it is boring beige and I have one wall in the bedroom and the cupboards in that same boring beige. I want to paint them a very light green.

But the room that still needs a repaint the most is our kitchen and i am not able to make it happen…would appreciate to win a chance to transform that room

Your office is gorgeous!!! All the hours on Pinterest def paid off.

We’ve been meaning to add some colour to our boys bland, shared bedroom. White walls, white cupboards and white bunk beds. Not the best looking lair for Batman and Spider-Man enthusiasts. This paint would def come in handy.

  21. Tracey says

    August 24, 2016 at 7:05 pm

Gosh I would love to redo my room and my dining room. They have just never been the priority. My house used to belong to my grandparents and the last time those 2 rooms saw any paint was in 1983 and for some insane reason my grandfather painted every thing in white enamel (eggshell colour now)

  22. Charlene says

So jelly of your office. Will definitely be making over my own office, want to turn our spare room into a creative space for myself as I recently started doing geometric art. A paint job would definitely help my space look better.

  29. Shaaista Mahomed says

The office looks amazing. Love the colours used, they really do pop!

We want to do our small room into a nursery for the baby on the way!

That must have taken a load of patience!…

Well, we are moving to a new house in October and ALL the walls are white… I need to win this so that I can paint my new bedroom ♥
