6. Life with a Ladybug
I was Cassie, a 32 year old fun loving, slightly crazy and colourful Jozi Girl. But now I am Mommy, an HR Manager and a Part-Time Student and Full Time Single Mom by day. By night I’m a future Superhero.
This space is for us to jot down our adventures and misadventures as the two of us grow and get to know each other. It is also a place where we unveil our plot to conquer the world in high heels and nappies.
I’m an Interior designer, mom, wife, shoe and trench coat addict, I love GOOD coffee, baking, party planning but most of all I LOVE great design.
I’ve been doing corporate interiors for 10 years fell in love with kids interiors after having to design my own baby’s nursery.
I use my blog as a platform to showcase my ideas and designs.
My name is Charlene, and I’m a full time mom to Zee, the most incredible little person on the planet. I love shopping, traveling, chocolate, reading, and music (no specific genre, if its good, I’ll play it at full blast and sing along!). I’ve been married to an amazing, loving man for 9 years. While hubby is at work, my day consists of teddy bear tea parties, cartoons, princess dress up, driving to ballet lessons, mommy-daughter milkshake dates, and reading fairy tales. Oh yes, and in between all that, I squeeze in a bit of cooking and cleaning too. I love this mommy gig, tantrum-filled moments and all.
I blog about style and fashion – what I’m wearing, what Zee is wearing, and sometimes the weird or wonderful outfits celebs are wearing. I blog about places we’ve been, food we’ve tried, things we’ve seen.

16. Skimming Stones
My name is Ursula but friends and family call me Sula. I am a South African woman born in 1968. I love reading, writing, nature, travel, baking, poetry, music and life. Some of my work has been published: journal extracts in the South African anthology “Glass Jars Among Trees”, Fair Lady magazine and poetry in a few anthologies. My dream is to see my children’s book ‘Snuffles & the Cloud People’ published; this was illustrated by my mum. In 1996 I founded LiPS (The Durban Live Poets Society) which continues to thrive with a life of its own since I left Natal in 2000. I grew up in a creative environment: my Mum is an award winning artist and my Dad is a photographer. I am married (for the 2nd time) and have 4 children born in 89, 91, 07 & 10. After more than 20 years working in a corporate environment I gave up work to be at home with my children.

24. For His Love
With the birth of my son began the hardest episode in my life: Postnatal Anxiety and Depression coupled with PPOCD. I started my blog to bring a lot more awereness of PND in South Africa. I needed this blog a long time ago, someone to tell me that I’m not alone…I searched and searched, and met beautiful women from the Netherlands, USA, China…all over the world. But none from my country, none in my culture. I cannot be the only one, not when 13% of women go through this. And so I share my story and journey to help others after me. It just might save somebody’s life.

life…Motherhood
Hello! My name is Yasmin, creator of the South African mommy blog, Pretty Please Mommy. I am a working mom in the corporate world by day and a nurturing juggler by night. I reside in Johannesburg with my partner (Wesley) and our 2 kids (Zako and Xia).
Zako and Xia are my world. They light up my life and make me smile daily for no specific reason. They make me believe in magic and miracles. I am far from being the perfect mom, I make mistakes (all the time), I miss being able to sleep late, but one thing’s for sure – the lessons I learn from them are invaluable. They have opened my eyes up to the beauty of living.
I hope you enjoy it!

38. Daddy Blogger
This blog is neither aimed at dads only, single parents nor parents of young girls alone; it is however borne of my own experience as a single father of a young girl. Of course, all children are different, some athletic, some outgoing. My one conclusion is that it is neither purely nurture nor nature but a combination of both and as I have no control of the nature side, this is my guideline for nurturing your children.
A personal journey through parenthood, with love, faith, honesty, fun and practicality. A muslims moms perspective

54. Kimmy and Bear
Kimmy and Bear was founded by three sisters, all in varying stages of motherhood – Alex is mama to four and a half year old Honor and expecting her second baby in October, Bailey is mama to toddler twins Anna and Florence, and Cheska is a new mama to baby Francie who was born in March.
We wanted to create a space which rises above the clutter than can overwhelm you as a mother, and rather focus on the beauty of the mamahood experience. A space which inspires you – be it through nursery decor, a new clothing range, or a quick tip in the kitchen that will make your life a little easier. A space that focuses on style and beauty while carrying a babe on your hip. A space to share a glimpse into the lives of other mamas and mamas-to-be to be that may make you laugh out loud or even cry as you realise that we’re somehow connected through this journey we’re on.
And so we started Kimmy & Bear – the curated mama and babe experience. It is named after our parents whose grand children call them Kimmy and Bear.

55. What do I know?….I’m just a mom
I’m using this as a place to put my concerns, joys and tribulations. I envision it being interactive, so would like to start some by posing questions, but I know the SA blog culture is not to comment. If I get readers, great, but would just love for it to be a place where my experiences translate into answers for other moms.
56. Baby YumYum
BabyYumYum’s community and blog was inspired and created by real parents who understand the stresses and challenges of life and it aims to be THE leading platform to engage with mothers and caregivers .
Initially BabyYumYum was formed to focus purely on infant formula feeding. While we know that breast is always best( as per WHO recommendations) and support this mantra, there are many times when breast feeding is not an option. Maybe a mother’s breast milk has dried up or is not enough to sustain the baby, maybe the baby is premature and is unable to latch, or perhaps the baby is adopted, or what about if the mother has an illness which could harm the baby….. whatever the reason BabyYumYum is here to bring its followers everything they need to know about formula feeding baby safely and correctly, without judgement and with loads of tips and advice thrown in from professionals.
This community has now evolved due to demand and focuses on many other baby and parenting issues such as feeding, mental stimulation, nutrition, hygiene, sleeping and whatever is on a caregivers/mommies mind. It also assists in influencing purchase making decisions via credible information, peer comments and our independent reviews whilst forming trusting relationships.
I am Born Again Photographer, Doula in Training ,Married and a Mother of four with an interesting story accompanying with each birth.
I am a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) and Breast Feeding advocate, hoping to help inform woman about their abilities and their rights regarding child birth.
Diagnosed ADHD as a child, I chronicle daily living with a large family and the many obstacles, challenges and joys come with always have too much to do at a time.
A Typical South African: I talk like a coloured, had family at the Cape Flats, have inappropriate conversations with strangers and Cherishes the heritage that I have inherited to become who I am today.
Most of all, I am Proud to be South African, no matter what that means to the rest of the world.
I would like to think my blog as inspirational, or one that people can read and think “wow! I am so glad that I am not the only one!” … it is filled with everyday happenings, life, politics, being a mom, as well as things and happenings that are super close to my heart.
this blog is fairly new and I am still trying to get the hang of the whole blogging thing. but I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as i enjoy writing it.

I love to travel, exploring new streets, towns and cities, finding new places, meeting new people, reading lots and lots and lots of books, the sea, sunset, sunrise, red wine, white wine, any wine, good food (especially pancakes on a Sunday morning), fireplaces, knitting, family holidays, date nights, the outdoors, swimming, spring, snow, the winelands, talking, laughing and big, loud family lunches.
67. Mom De Plume
I like books, blogs, words, fonts that make words look pretty, photographs, food, tea, travelling, postcards and punctuation. I particularly like the Oxford comma. I dislike fish, and accidentally stepping in water while wearing socks.
This is a blog about the things I like, plus my thoughts on parenthood, work, life and love

69. Threes A’loud
