We have spent the last week in Polokwane for the Mzansi Inter-Provincial Youth Chess Championships.
It wasn't the best in terms of organization, and we had a delayed start, but we had such an awesome time!
Well done to Nicky who came 17th out of 58 players in the under 14 open championship!

I am so proud of this kid and his awards yesterday

I am so proud of this kid and his awards yesterday.
But also humbled. I was in such a rush to get back to my 12 30 class. I really didn't celebrate and acknowledge the moment enough. So, we did a drive-through KFC milkshake that night! Plus, some nice spoils from his Aunty Debbie!

Last Saturday we joined in on a neighborhood Halloween walk with about 50 kids and ten houses. We had fun and Nicky came home with a bucket full of sweets.
Very grateful for the organizers, the people that opened their homes and the security that accompanied us.
